Thanks to the At’é (GPRS) service from Chippie, you can surf the web as easily as you do with your modem and PC, but with the added mobility. It is designed to allow faster and easier mobile Internet access to WAP sites on your WAP and/or GPRS enabled Chippie mobile phone.
With GPRS you stay connected without running up a huge phone bill. You can even connect your computer or laptop to your device and get online access through your internet provider or company network system.
The ‘micro-browser’ or e-mail application on your Chippie device allows you to receive and send e-mail from your phone wherever you are and whenever you want to.

How to activate
- Send an SMS with the text ‘ATE ON’ to 5555;
- You will receive shortly the following message on your phone:
‘You have requested to be subscribed to ATE. Please reply to 5555 with A for Nokia or Sony Ericsson or B for other brands and receive 3 install messages’
- Choose option A if you have a Nokia or Sony Ericsson phone or choose option B for another brand.
- You will receive another message:
‘You are now subscribed to ATE. When you receive the 3 install messages, save these messages. Your pin code is xxxxxx’
- Followed by the second message:
‘New messages received. Install?
- Answer ‘yes’ to proceed. You will receive your 3 install messages every one (1) minute.
- Save below settings on your Chippie mobile phone:
1st message: ATE_WEB_EMAIL_T of ATE_WEB_EMAIL_M
2nd message: ATE_WAP_T of ATE_WAP_M
3rd message: ATE_MMS_M
In case you did not program the settings correctly you can click here to reset your At’é service. Simply enter your pin code and receive your new settings again. Remember to always save your new settings on your Chippie mobile phone. (for more information contact our helpdesk via tel 9221)
Some mobile phones will automatically restart themselves in order to accept the settings/changes and some will need to be done manually. Not all devices will respond the same to the installation procedure.
